Using the Programs
You can use Boolean operators like the AND, the OR, the NOT, and
the EXCLUSIVE/OR and any combination of these operators. There is
the possibility of searching for a specifically defined amount
and sequence of words. The database as a whole can be searched or
only defined portions.
If a verse in the Old or New Testament is explained or mentioned in a passage in the Writings, then these passages are connected in the program with a hypertext link. These links enable you to move from the Bible to the Writings by simply clicking on a triangle at the beginning of the verse. In one book of the Writings there are references to other works of the Writings. Also these are connected with links. With the search procedures and with some 100,000 links the reader is able to travel through the Bible and the Writings in a rapid pace.
The reader only works with the keyboard, a mouse, and the monitor, and never looks at a book.
The Windows Program is the 80th Birthday Edition, and is distributed on CD. The manual for this program is on this web site (which can be downloaded by clicking here), and will be updated Periodically. Watch for the latest revision.

hard drive space and a CD-ROM reader.
